I did receive a reply from Stubben but unfortunately it was not much help. Either way, she was super helpful in her response despite my not getting more details on my saddle, but you may be able to get answers you are looking for. She said she didn't have the number in her system and that could mean it was purchased outside of the U.S., over twenty years old, or a number they don’t carry anymore. Unfortunately she couldn't date my saddle. Haha Mandi was the lady I conversed with as well. Only issue is if the saddle is made before a certain date, then they probably can't be dated, however that would give you your idea if it's beyond your 20 year limit. What you can do is ask the sellers to provide the serial numbers, and you can email Stubben asking to date them if possible. Anyway, it has holes where a cantle plate was, but I've noticed a lot of riders will put a plate with their name on the saddle, so it could just be that someone put a plate on it and removed it when selling the saddle at one point and not actually be indicative of any specific era it may be from. ![]() I absolutely adore my Stubben but haven't been able to ride in it lately because waiting on saddle fitter to make sure it fits my boy beyond what my friends and I have gathered.
